Job Summary:

The Production Worker assists the line lead in duties that lead to safe, properly cooked products in a clean environment at all times.

Job Duties:

• The job duties of the production worker are determined by the production line to which the worker is assigned.  The worker, under the direction of the line lead will perform duties necessary to produce the product of the assigned line.  They can be nesting tacos, palletizing products, weighing out ingredients, pushing baskets of product from one cook station to another, or cleaning the production area.
• This worker could be assigned to the label line, the taco line, the salsa line, the vegetable line or the canning plant.
• Maintain standards of food plant sanitation in all production activities.
• Ensure good manufacturing practices are adhered to at all times
• Report to their supervisor prior to starting work of any illness, disease, or other source of microbial contamination that may contaminate food contact surfaces, packaging or food products.
• Adhere to the company’s production standard operating procedures
• Maintain a clean work area at all times

Essential Functions:

Position Qualifications

            Education:     High School Graduate or GED. 

            Experience:   No prior experience necessary. 6 months experience in food processing environment helpful.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

            While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The employee is frequently exposed to hot and/or humid conditions.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
